Footage export sound problem resolution

My frag video has been on hold because every time I exported the footage the sound file was empty, or would not export.

Turns out my sound was set to 5.1 surround and it cannot be exported this way.

Specifically it was set at:

snd_surround_speakers = 5

Fixed by changing to stereo:

snd_surround_speakers = 2

Maybe this will help someone else with this problem.

This issue frustrated the hell out of me for a while before I finally got off my ass and decided to look into the problem.

Dude, thanks a million, I have been wracking my mind trying to figure out why there's no audio from console extraction.

I was about to give up and use fraps to get the audio, console for the vid and sync them together, thank god I dont have to do all that nonsense.

Cool man, glad this discovery is helping other vid makers out also. I was pretty thrilled to figure it out myself after so many failed attempts.

You making another personal vid, or can we expect a a VDuS highlight reel?
