Just some questions.

I wanted to make a video with the best frags I could found from my demos, but need people to answers some stuff for me, so please every1 give feedback
What kind of frags do you like? Only from leagues? or scrim/pubs are fine too?
What type of frags do you enjoy on a video? xbow shots? magnum headshots? multiple quick kills? Just name it for me to know
Also, can I wait to do this? or I should expect the new engine update to ruin all my demos?

imo i love long bank shots,mag headshots, and anyshot where is almost looks like u have human aimbot where it is just a quick turn around and 1 shot they are dead.Also i like clips where it just you playing smart like u see someone running and u know where they are gonna go and u wait for them and u got them.

The best kills for me:

1. Opponent is not a random noob..ie. kills on still or walking opponents = bad.

2. Something you wouldnt see if you just joined a game and played, like running around a corner and boom headshot on someone who hasnt seen you = meh.

3. Pub, CAL, private matches, doesnt matter, just be sure to say what it is. Frags can be less amazing if all material is from closed matches (because you have less material to work with and in pubs you can mess around and try crazy shit that you wouldnt try to do in a match).

4. Some people like fast frags, rapid fire. I prefer to see a little bit of setup prior to each kill. Your LsD vid was nicely edited. This is a HL2DM player perspective. People from other games always say "wtf too much empty space" because they cannot understand the setup.

You mean, something like the video holy moly did? Which instead of fast action, you kinda see where he was going/moving, and can get a little bit deeper on how the situation came up?

I'm not too picky about frags, unless they're just plain ordinary. But judging from video I wouldn't say you had to worry about that

well....I'll try, but the clan vid avi is taking most of my space. I've got a 250 gb HDD, and the freaking video is 80 gb =/
Well, I better start moving then....Where can I contact holy? If I can make the Xvid version of the vid and get rid of the big avi it would be a lot more comfortable.

Id just PM him here or on steam forums and ask his advice.

i want to see a frag where a panda bear is eating bamboo, that would be ludicrous!

I like it when you can understand the setup of a frag. Conflict did a great job on his video with this. You can see him looking for the enemy or have an idea that the enemy is in a certain area before the attack happens. It makes it a lot more interesting then tons of 3 second clips of ownage.

a frag is a frag, doesn't matter who it is against (just use common sense and not have like 3 mag headshots in a row against an afk guy and that sort of thing)

and i dislike short clips of frags, the longer ones I like (like what was happening prior to the frag, etc)

Well only if the frag justifies it, and not TOO much. Finding the perfect lead up is the hard thing.

I imagine we all agree in the fact that a hud-less video is better.
Now....do you like to see weapon/health/suit pick up notices? or do you prefer them not to show like on the community video? Maybe you just don't mind o.0

IMO, not showing provides a "cleaner" and maybe less distracting view, while showing that allows for a better understanding of the situation....
I personally don't mind much, as long as editing and frags are good, I'll like it ^^

i can send you my crosshair .PNG that you can overlay later, and i definitely enjoy a vid that is as clean as possible.

ok...I'll take that into account...I guess I'll have to record some footage again ...but it will be worth it
