Active Clan list

I think it'd be nice to have an active clan/team listing
with every active team listed, for the recruitment section as a sticky. I've seen these on other community sites and we would do well to list them, either teams that compete in cal or just own there own pub and play there. We could post on their forums and ask them to share some info about themselves here getting more of the community here on the U would be nice. From every team.

We have started this in the Wiki. Maybe we can maintain it there and link to it.

good list but i was thinking of a way of bring some of those players here and giving a bio about themselves or something along those lines...

Maybe add a website link to each of the clans who have a website.

Well the list is not done by a long shot, this is just the skeleton.

We also use the specialized Ҳ and afaik, we are the first ones to use it. :)

People can still request access. If a clan wants to maintain their info I will give one person from that clan access to do so. I am not going to open to public access because someone will make a meal of it for sure.

actually when i started making the list i made a contact with the leaders or the subordinates to get bio's about the clans

If you want a wiki to be successful you have to have pretty open access. The cool thing about a wiki is how fast you can undo any harm. I think you should basically allow everyone to edit the wiki if they sign up for an account and its approved or moved into the appropriate group. A simple scan of changes for the day will easily tell you if you have an idiot that needs his access taken away. The more people who can edit it the faster it will get really good the less people allowed the slower it will take shape and the more will be missing.

Yes, most of us were originally in CRUNCH and moved on because they were against any type of organized play and were a little wacko lol. Snail joined us a couple days after we started the CGC back in 06. And yes Bad, we havent played in CAL, but you have been a member of our forum for quite awhile and you have known about us for longer then that. Since you seemed to be updating the wiki, Im a bit confused as to why you wouldnt add us. We indeed took some time off from dm because of hl2ctf, but we told Mr. M687 and f1lam3nt that they were not allowed to play hl2ctf with us and had to play hl2dm to keep the |Elite| name alive lmao.

yup, I certainly do. Those were the times back then. I remember Tarken playing in our server daily and bitching about his internet service all the time lol. Back then there wasnt any advanced movement being used so it usually went down to who knew the map and aimed better. I actually preferred the game back then. Players grav jumping all over the place and nobody knew any of the maps lol.

Nah, I kinda gave up updating the wiki. I put in about 1% of what anyone else does about every...Oh 6 months?

It doesn't get removed, it just goes down into the inactive list.

Where do we suggest new clans, and update the old ones?

You can request wiki access to maintain your clans info, or just post it here and ask someone with access to update it.

ziah is talking about the other XE clan. old star wars clan. i dont think knows about the euro clan XE. btw add XLD on there too please sir.

The wiki can be updated anytime by those with access. The fact that it is a little out of date is just because it is a "do it if you feel like it" project. I can give you an account, just shoot me an email at [email protected] to remind me and I will send temp pass to that email address.

i updated a few last week but these were additions all the same havent took anyone off so far

Yeah clans arent sposed to be removed, just relocated to inactive section so that people can look up old clans if they want.
