Since super bowl sunday got screwed up a few weeks ago I assumed we had an extra draft night to make up for it. I guess nino is now going to back to the bi-weekly draft?

I was just confused from the DN 2/17 discussion thread. I assumed that meant DN was the 17th. Then the discussion turned to maps and having a week to d/l a really large one... which would have made DN the 24th. And I never saw a final post regarding which maps were decided upon.

Not complaining, just noting I was confused. :oops:

maybe for the next draft night, you should have a clear map rotation posted somewhere so that things can go smoother next time..

I think his said over on vent that everyone on the final teams had to vote on the final map but I think the problem is everyone is to unorganized to do that. :?

ah, well, i got in vent late... and when i asked nino what map we were supposed to play, all he said was "Team 1" so lol... ;o

sorry that was for what dingle said but that was from the round b4.

I guess i should redo the rules and have everyone look at it again. I kinda assume that things should be getting smoother as we go. But that is not the case.

past few weeks for maps, i have just been. Posting a discussion thread and picking whichever map is mentioned the most and hasn't been done lately. And just picking the round 1 and round 2 maps and letting the two teams in the finals vote between the 8 players on what map is to be played. And if it's round 1 or 2 i have no problem with those 8 players voting for a different map rather then play default as long as 5 players want something else. when i have time, maybe tonight i'll re-write up the rules for everyone to look up.

Personal opinion: Don't leave anything up to the players on the night. Vote here ahead of time so there is no confusion. The day before each draft, post an announcement with a link to the rules and the maps to be played.

not a final rotation but it's the only three maps that have even been mentioned.

I wouldn't mind seeing dm_aftermath if warlock isn't ready. I'm not sure if it's big enough for a 4v4 good for a 2v2 i'm sure

IMO 7hour is not a good 4v4 map. 2v2 maybe 4v4 not


Backbone and refinery might be interesting to try.

dallas did lostvillage_two, bio did lostvillage_v2, but as i understand lostvillage_two is from hl1.

oldb school, sounds like fun. I've had some great matches on all 4 of these maps. Backbone being the best of those 4 imo. I will not be on much. Out of town at a funeral. I might get home tonight.

dm_backbone would be my choice for 1st map as we haven't played this style of map as of yet

Thanks MeekMeekle for the list we will have to keep it somewhere.

Since we have some new options now i'll wait til tonight or tommorrow to make the final decsion. I thought i was happy with what we had but a mix between dm_backbone and dm_lostvillage_two sounds like some good fraggin.

All the lost village maps are from HL1 and the same mapper. but not these mappers.

The only problem with np_refinery is that its slam whore heaven. Backbone is one of my favorite maps too..

I only know 2 of those, but they both are good maps.

Also I agree on frenzy, but for 4v4 it might be a bit crowded.

dm_lostvillage_two is a fun map once you learn the weapon layout. I think DallaS did a great job on it.
