DRAFT NIGHT 20!!!!

OK you MFers get ready for the biggest and baddest draft night ever

I doubt it will be this weekend but in the coming weeks for sure

I need to revamp the Draft steam group and will kick everyone.

We are working on an automatic system for easier rankings but until then this its were to do it.

I've had a few players ask to be admins, Please pm me and I will walk one admin through everything I do as I do it so you can learn what is needed

yes, Ventrilo is just easy way to manage players and be a visual tool so people know what team they are on and what server to join.

I just didn't wanna waste time cleaning the Old Draft group of people that don't play, And i will not open it to the public again so that (Hopefully) everyone in the group knows what the draft group is and for.

I hate when i would msg people in the group and they would say "what's a draft?"

worst draft to date..... sorry to say.

Not my fault team 1 and 2 failed to listen and cry about a trade. Which wouldn't be fair. Other then those teams it is going well.

i was on team two, we were all ready to play our match but puFF never showed back up so were pretty much all said fuck it, i mean once bahlk left i left.

shocking news. hence the reason i suggested that rosters/teams/maps/servers be drawn up the night before based on a week long sign up sheet. but, i still give nino credit for getting this going again.

In theory this sounds like a great idea, but inevitably peoples plans change sometimes hour from hour so I still see issues with people not showing up. Just like last time draft was going it took a few times for people to get back into the swing of it.

i don't participate in draft nights due to my awesomeness at bhopping but as a rule to me the last remark makes a lot of sense.

i dont think it was any better or any worse than any previous draft. i appreciate that nino and herb put forth the effort.

my suggestions:

1. nino, walk your assistant admins through the admin process/authorities before the draft. test them to make sure admins understand or authorities are working properly. i think some of the confusion could have been fixed ealry on if herb had been able to move people around. i noticed people left their team (dunno why) and were stuck in draft pool. people couldnt get back on their team. also, someone could have been moved from the pool to replace puff. but im not sure anyone knew about that early enough.

2. im not sure everyone knew when to start their first match. i thought we were waiting for 2 more people to join the pool so we had enough for 4v4. then we noticed people had already begun playing. so better communication maybe. fire a gun or something, lol.

3. be more specific on the maps. some played milieu_final, some played r6. herb and i had to go d/l final, delaying the match.

i still had fun. no matter how badly i played or how sucky my connection issues.

Look I'll be honest here. I was the Team 1 captain and was directly involved in time wasting shaninigans, however instead of taking the high road I'm going to blame Herb for everything, everything is his fault. I also blame Herb for my Cookie Crisps being stale this morning, even though I was the one who forgot to close the box on Friday.

I would gladly take any blame for everything, wasn't a bad outcome overall just a bit confusing to start. I think if we do have a next one everyone will be better prepared, and will hopefully operate smoothly.
