Going on with the dm pro idea.

So heres what I've thought up of in terms of how it'll run:

-Teams will be set up in vent as usual.
-Depending on how many people show up is how many servers are to be used.
-Each server will have one designated person to change game modes, maps, start matches.
-Draft matches will be run in Vanilla DM so no gauss gun at all.
-If needed, a warm up round in arena 1v1 mode before the first round of matches.
-Maps chosen will be decided on the maps available for promod.

I don't think its refined enough at this point but thats where you guys come in! :D

The main thing I don't know is about the available maps. I'm sure not a lot of people would like to play the same old maps. Anyone know if current dm maps can be ported to promod?

I believe you can use any source map in pro.

This isn't a bad idea. But the entire reason the draft works is because you only need to install vent and show up. Which is a headache enough.

Vent is a faff because some people don't know how to use it. DMPro on the other hand is just a mod, so it takes minutes to get up and running, then just move your autoexec.cfg file from one folder to another and add the Pro options for voting, it's really not as hard as some people are making out.

Well I find installing either vent or dm pro to be quite easy. And honestly who wouldn't have vent installed by now? I have it installed but I rarely run it while in game because it just sends static to the unsuspecting ears of everyone else. And pro is easily installed and even updated just as easily. I don't want to make this big I just want to see this run at least once.

I tried that pro out the other day and I LOL'd. Walking/strafing speed was like increased, weird new guns, also no one really plays pro according to the servers available :(

Things I did sorta like was the customization (x-hair change and shit) that wall jumping was kewl and bunnyhopping like a "pro"

Yeah, I agree. But its still good to know that a lot of people would prefer having drafts on there instead. And thats before AG2
