Magnum Reload?

For some reason my magnum and or shotgun reloads by itself, and I don't pick up the ammo, I will have 0 shots left, I will start reloading, switch to my gravity gun or a different weapon, I go back to the magnum and I have 6 shots? Can someone explain how exactly it works so I can use it as a strategy maybe?

Its the automatic reload and i use it allways nearly never reaload by myself cause it needs time i can use for attacking with another weapon.
If you shot the mag empty and you have another 6 shots of ammo you can swap the weapon and after few seconds its reloaded by itself.
It doesnt work without ammo tho.

iirc, it only works with shotty, mag, xbow. Pistol?

yeah it's funny cause the category 3 weapons (smg, ar2) don't have that... so if you get to 0 with the ar2 then switch and forget about it... then go back later to fire an orb really quickly, you're like sh*t....

I learnt that from an old guide I read once... I believe it was written by [VDuS] Charles (ty btw.)
IIRC the only weapons that don't have it are as luke said, slot 3 ( sub machineguns ).
I believe the time it takes to reload it the same as the weapon would take if you reloaded it by yourself (pressing reload).
Shotgun takes the time filling it with 6 shells would take, and I think xbow takes twice normal time.... but not sure...

Alright thankyou, so I just start to reload, switch weapons, own noobs, go back to magnum and it will be full ammo, sweet.

you dont need to start the reloading process just empty the gun and change..
