After you are killed how fast you press to spawn?

Topic title is pretty self explanatory.

I'm kindof ADD and impatient so i have a hard time not pressing the button to spawn right away, only to end up right next to the player who just killed me with just teh weapons i spawned with....leading to a quick death.

So correct me if I'm wrong, but the faster you press the mouse/jump/whatever key you will spawn closer to the spot where you died.
I have recently been watching where my oponenet has been headed and trying to wait a few seconds to hopefully spawn further away.

Any input is welcome.

It depends on the situation, if im in a 1v1 with very little time left and im winning ill wait it out every time, if im losing ill spawn as fast as possible to try adn take the lead.

ya i normaly click like hell, until i get spawn killed or just die quickly after spawning , then i tend to chill out for a bit.
In 1v1/2v2s if you die near a spawn point it's smart to wait it out as most times players with wait by a nearby spawn point for an easy kill, but the will not wait the entire force respawn time, so if you wait sometimes you can turn the tides and get a spawn then kill

Huh I never even thought about this asspect of competative play lol. I alwasy just spam the shit outa my button so I can spawn asap. I always thought that the spawns were totally random, as in where you end up when you spawn. I'm gonna have to experiment with this.

i'm sure it is random, but people will only stand at one spawn with a prop for so long, unless it's at the charger on LD then they have a reason to stay a bit more.

lol.. evey time i am clicking madly to respawn .. doesn't matter if the server has mp_forcerespawn 1 or not.

I do the same in TF2. Even though it clearly says that you have 15 seconds till respawn. One of these days I'll figure it out.

If a guy is seasoned and the force respawn is on as in all league matches he will know to wait the full time till you must spawn so it really does not matter that much. In a 4v4 though they might get hit by your team if they wait around.

I, too, am a mad clicker on respawn. Only exception being if I know there are combine balls flying about. I hate getting teabagged when I respawn...

I wait until i see where the person goes then spawn so i have a rough idea if they aree near when i do. Same with 2v2 and 3v3 etc ecpet i rtell teasm mates where they have gone how much hp they may have.
But it seems a bit too random to me the amount of times in team 3v3 i have spawned where all 3 enemies are is unbeleivable.

I agree keefy, its a fucking conspiracy. I'll get killed any where on LD and respawn in the bathroom with the whole other team regrouping and waiting for CB balls. I sware this always happens after i've been doing well, the game is like "Oh yeah you think your so good, here try this on for size." Its gonna take shock therapy to make me stop clicking like a mad man lol. I tried last night and only lasted like three respawns before I was burning a hole in my mouse button again.

Lost Village is my nightmare spawn map. I manage to spawn a lot either:

a) Under a red dot.

b) In an area where all the pickups have been eaten and the people who took em are hanging out waiting for me.

lol WT, lostvillage a couple things happen for me:
I always spawn either right in front of an rpg like you said, or on the oposite side of the map from my teammate who, judging by his panicked squealing over the mic, is in desperate need of my help. And the enemy spawns right where i need them to NOT spawn lol

Yea thats me in Amp... always spawning 3x in a row in the damn rpg room with the enemy right on top of me with the damn rpg!

Jeez I hate respawn points on that map ... I have had moments in which I get killed 4 times in a row because I respawn close to the rpg were the two of my enemies are holding it waiting to kill whatever moves -.-

i'm pretty sure there are 4 spawn points which are in sight of the rpg and 4 more which are in the near vicinity on amplitude

1 in the corner near the rpg
1 by the stairs by the orb
1 at the top of the stairs right beside the rpg where those 2 batteries are
1 near those boxes on the 2nd floor

3 around the corner from the rpg where you can see the sky from the bottom floor.
1 on the 3rd floor just above those 2 suit batteries

there are over 20 spawns on amplitude though.

Usually when I die in a 1v1 im watching my opponent for as long as i possibly can before I spawn. Most of the time they'll kill me and just turn and face the nearest spawn point which inevitably, they have no patience and end up shooting the prop before forced respawn time is up. Then I'll spawn in that spot and chase them down and murder them.

In team games I use the time of force respawn to communicate and tell my team where the enemy was or is so Im not trying to use voice while being spawn killed.

When I'm playing well, I take my time spawning. I think about why I died and how to avoid that again. But, when I die a stupid death... I get all pissed off and spawn like I'm in a race.

I have to confess something here. Some of you know about my clan culture (no headshots, no bhopping, no rpg's, etc). I have trouble with spawn kills. When someone spawns near me, I don't attack. And I usually wind up dead when I'm not on one of our clan servers. Spawn killing is a huge issue on our clan servers. The ultimate faux pas. It's a hard thing to turn on/off in my mind.

But... our clan culture slowly changing. Headshots have been turned back on and bhopping is allowed... though not necessarily encouraged.

seriously Cellar I agree with Onti thats not good. You need to try and educate them.

You are a pretty good player, it would be a shame to halt your development as a player.

played octagon on a full khaos server yesterday. i kept spawning on top of other people. nuts! good times!!!

THAT was crazy! Looked like a very unnatural act was taking place. Made for an easy crowbar kill lol.

depends in what mood i am in i usually don't care and spawn right away, heres a good tip though just move your mouse around after your dead and look at which way your opponent is heading so you know what way to avoid when you respawn.

either way it all works out.

I used to alternate, also depends on situation (is there orbs around etc..) but I would rarely spawn without thinking unless i play for fun

idk, i usually just try and respawn as fast as possible so then i can get back into the action. maybe thats why my deaths is always higher than everyone else...

I love it.

LOOOL I looooove that map, but I HAAAATE those spawn points. And the fact that it has an rpg (or at least where it's located).
Worse than spawning in the basement with everyone noticing it imidiately, is spawning in the basement with everyone noticing it imidiately and you noticing you're stuck in a ton of props and can't just get rid of them all before they all change their mind for some mystical reason and all decide to shoot at you instead of each other like they were doing.

I click my fire botton freneticaly untill I respawn, totally forgetting that my mouse is new.
Only in ctf, when I'm rushing with the flag and die, I stay watching where the enemy takes it, just in case they hide it nearby, and tell my team it's nearly-exact location.
