DM tourney?

Just a thought, i tried when i was admin of sta but never really started as 4v4 was still going strong, would be good fun for all with the right rules.

Tourny <> League? 1v1?

What exactly did you have in mind that is not already being done in CAL or was not being done in STA back then?

Please elaborate.

I was thinking a "King of the Map" 1v1 ladder would be cool.

a ladder style that play with 6-8 players straight up DM style, stats could be used to see who kills who, or just go straight off the frags alone. It would have to be much more relaxed then 1v1 cal. Like Fios where certain times are set for matches and whoever shows gets points. And unlike Fios It would be easier to setup matches with players of matching skill levels.

Isnt that pretty much what tournament~dot~com is doing? Except they pay you some trivial amount per win/kill. Though, so far their map selection sucks and they likely arent running their servers pure, and teaming must be a real bitch if you get a couple of members from the same clan in a match.

ya i guess it is the same

or just keep supporting cal so they keep supporting the game we all know and love.
