HELP-invincible crosshair

I can't get rid of my crosshair. can't even get it back to default. I've tried everything. help pls

did you try deleting the file in the folder steam will replace them

yessir. I've even deleted the resource folder. reinstalled hl2dm too.

my what? ive completely reinstalled hl2dm, and it still didnt work. therefore id imagine those files are fresh and 'unedited'

Are u sure, u didnt delete the wrong account or something, i dunno but u have definitly confusselled urself at some point.

HAVE YOU TRIED PUTTING A NEW CROSS HAIR FILE IN THERE?

try using the crosshair installer that is on the U.
Also, have you tried crosshair "1" ? (sounds dumb but could be the solution =o )
I once had this on a mates computer, I kept deleting the file, the folder, switching the font, everything, and it wouldn't work. I later on found out that he somehow had 2 installations of steam, and I was modifying everything in the wrong one.
Oh also, make sure the crosshair font isn't on your windows fonts, if so delete it.

Like I've said, I've replaced the file, made sure it was read only etc. my crosshair is already on so id assume crosshair=1. Im trying to install onti's crosshair from the U.

EDIT: I dont know what I did but I've finally killed the beast.
