It's kinda lulzy how you tell everyone about the tourney after it's over.

its a hall of fame forum, where people go to make posts about the results of leagues, not to advertise them. and fearsome made a post about the result of a league, not to advertise it. please by all means tell me whats wrong here.

I've stated this before, and it becomes more apparent every time you quote me and post. You have a reading comprehension problem, zman. I'm completely serious too.
I didn't say is was wrong. I said it was funny. It would be like ewR entering the KAT Clan Twin Towers Low Grav No RPG No Nades Open, not telling any other teams, then bouncing in here, bragging about beating up the 'tards and taking 1st place. It's a Special Olympics win. Wrong? Nah. Lulzworthy? Oh, fuck yeah.

I remember there was this Skul shock dude that told us about these types of leagues but we never were nice to him in the past.

I wonder who did that...hmm...
Fearsome* wrote:Shell Shock is the opposite of competition. If your new to the game you should just play for a bit and get a feel for the game before you make a rule about no spawn killing but pick a mod that encourages it buy making almost all weapons 1 hit kill. That and the fact there are pretty much no clans that do any sort of league play who play shell shock which is probably why you are asking for some. Shell shock lags a servers to all get out another thing that is terrible for league play. It discourages aggressive play and rewards people for camping due to the noob friendly weapon damage. I will pass.

Divinity is right, the U response overall was not so kind to Skulshock, so they stop posting events. I think this has happen with several mods and other "non-competition" type of events as well, so people loose interest in posting at the U. Perhaps it is time to become more friendly and more accepting of the events some of you deem not worthy?

Having money at stake can change most people's minds, especially if its pretty much a guaranteed win.

Seriously though it was the responsibility of the people running the league to advertise it, not the participants and yea we werent very kind to them, myself included. I still feel that the presence of all of these different mods has split this game too much. Skul shock is a noobed down version of the game. I know people who cant handle vanilla pubs go play skul shock because they can play that and pwn instead of getting crushed in vanilla pubs.

Yup! Most hardcore Skulshock players will not step outside their servers, besides the point just take the money and run

From what I heard, Motion talked Fear into it. Fear agreed although it was a bit under duress. What the hell though, the won $300. Any one of us would have done it if we had known it was almost a sure thing.

its not a noobed down version of the game, just a version they like to play. its not like our version of the game is doing very fucking well ATM, and it was announced, a long time ago.

Yes its doing well, but lets be honest. It is because people dont like to get crushed in vanilla. A guy I know that plays Skul shock would often come into our server and play for 5 minutes, get annihilated and say "this isnt fun, Im gona go where I can do better" Literally thats what he said.

Sounds reasonable.
