Thought I would show some of the various map's I've done over the year's.

This first one is a map I made with all brushwork, no model's (except the exploding powder keg's).

This is my newest version of dm_fragging_yard (aka dm_armageddon). Added jump pad's ect.

Cursed is a map I made to try to overwhelm the player with size. Most maps are built horizontally, leaving all the upper geometry to the 3D skybox. I wanted all the high area's inside the map. This map was never released.

Up next is another Quake remake. I made this by request for hl2dmpro. It hasn't been released yet.

Sacred is a map That took me around 8-9 months to complete. The brushwork got so heavy I actually maxxed out the brush's that the source engine allow's. I wanted to add more detail without using model's, but it never happened.

Yet another remake of a fun Quake map. I had no idea what I was shooting for when I made this map, and it's still not 100% done. I have alot of lighting work, and geometry to do. It's a CTF map, but it could play TDM also I suppose.

This is a map for hl2dmpro. It's basically the mascot map for pro, like lockdown is for reg dm. The geometry was made very simple. It was designed for speed and that's it.

I made this remake of dm_lostvillage, mostly to liven it up. I think it play's better then the current one, but that's up for debate I guess. It's downloadable on the main website homepage.

This is a small map I'm currently working on. It is probably only 25% done. dm_revolt.

I have quite a few other map's that I'm working on also, or that I just haven't released for one reason or another. Mapping has been a part of my HL2 life since the game came out. My next "big" project is going to be dm_lostvillage 3. No one has ever done 3, so I have alot of idea's for it. I expect it to be my best map(hopefully).

yea the sky box is to low i can't throw barrels over a wall or guide rockets over them. Apart from that its fine.

Wow your lostvillage remake looks awesome, has a much more polished appearance. But will it still get the phenominal fps that the origonal did?

Yeah, pretty please! That would be so cool!

One thing though, could you put the mag out on the platform instead of the rpg? The mag is much more like the railgun, and probably even deadlier here.

Sorry for not responding in so long. I will definatly try to convert a few of my promod maps to reg dm, but I'm not sure if they will work the same as in pro. With version 1.8.1 , J@nek made special triggers for me to make the jump pads react like they do in Quake. Regardless , I'll see if I can get them to work.

I'm redoing dm_lostvillage_v2, to raise the skybox, and add a health pack where the shotty ammo is on the cat walk, and I want to redo the rooftop's a bit. Hopefully more will like it. One problem is the naming scheme. People are confusing my remake with Dallas's remake of lostvillage_two. What would be a better name? Also if anyone has any suggestions on what should be fixed or added ect., let me know.

I think "you are" referring to aim_coloseum. You played the beta I did, and I gave up on it, since the size was bigger then I anticipated. Here are a few screen's of it anyways.

Also I am doing a dm version of Sacred. It has the same layout, but it's alot smaller, more suited for reg dm speed. I prolly will upload a beta for ppl to try out, since the weapon placement is hard to get right. Any thought's or suggestion's are welcome.

What about over the RPG making that sercet room just and open room with a window overlooking the rocket area. when i saw the ss i thought thats what you did but it's just a new texture there. I always used that hp pack, rarely going in for the ar2 but it's a good option sometimes.

I can open the room up, and just have a health kit in there. I think the third ar2 inside is a bit much, when right to the side, is an ar2 in the crawl space. There's already enough spam as it is around the rpg area imo.

why give up on aim_coloseum_1? that's nutts. looks like a very good map...im offering to chip in if it will help you push it forward.
other than that - you are a very talented mapper. excited to see these screens.
are the textures in sacred all Quake's?
loved the arch works. brilliant.

assuming that you'll make a final quality version of the map on the first try isn't smart... you should always use numbers.. people are smart enough to remember what's the best version anyways... v2 or v3 is a perfectly fine naming scheme... gives you freedom to change things as you see fit.. or if there's some crazy new bug that changes the way the map is played (like speed crouching the rocket in lockdown)... no map is the final version imo..
