this is a fun, all out war map i made as an experiment with HDR. the map consists of an underground level which is basically partitioned sections and a ground level which is more of a long range and has more space to run about. the main way of going up from the lower level is by using a jumppad that can be camped...so fun fun fun :lol: .
map is suprizingly enough rather fast and has decent FPS even though its full HDR.

I’m running an Athlon X2 4400+ 2.3G w/ 2 GB RAM, 8800gts 320mb and I average at around 160-140 FPS on it. many explosions going at once proly drops it down to about 70-60 but on a busy (10 players) server i have not seen any lag at all.

Fun map :) I like the lower areas. The HDR looks nice. You do a very good job at smoothing out disp's.

gonna give this a try when I get home, looks fun. I really like the screen you took with the grass in the foreground. "I is in da jungle, shhhhh I is hiding." first thing that came into my head lol

i like it, good map. of course i did not play it with anyone, but myself...i was wondering do you plan on putting anything in the corners of the lower part because it just seems like wasted space. i was thinking put the ar2 there or some health or someting to give it some usage. also r u plannin on putting any small walls or something on teh top becuz most players could get easy kills without any cover on top. idk just suggestions. good map

The screens remind me of a map called Anacrogrid2005, except that this is two level and the textures here all spiffy.

i was wondering do you plan on putting anything in the corners of the lower part because it just seems like wasted space.
when i saw the map played with many ppl i immediately saw the use of these corners. Many ppl believe it or not - camp them lol. Some just run off to it so they can jump off it like it was a ramp. Anyway, the opposite of what I feared – it’s being put to use. Before playtesting I thought the same so good catch. :twisted:
it goes REALLY BRIGHT to REALLY DARK a lot which gets kind of distracting... I wonder if there might be a way to get better control over the HDR and when it should change and what the maximum allowed changes in a given time should be, and what "weights" different light sources should be given in determining when/how to change the light range, etc etc... I don't know much about it as I've hardly tried it out at all so far.
Not that I know of. This is how HDR acts in an attempt to imitate the human eyes and how it reacts to light exposure, does a poor job in my opinion but still i regard it as an eye candy.
That being said “Not that I know of” I don’t know everything...i’m in constant learning process...if i learn anything new about it i'll gladly put to use and post an update.
