limit cpu hammer uses?

you can't. this is a 3D editor compiling a ridiculous ammount of code to create a 3D enviroment (!). why should it not take up 100%? you make it sound like it's a bug lol
if you're a puter-freak who can't handle a second without doing something involving typing / mousing / clicking..(like moi)...get a second pc.

i didn't really read any of the above posts because i'm awesome like that..

but maybe turning the amount of undos from like 5000 to 10 will help a bit?

dude - Compile not work.

add -low to the arguments for vis and rad
will be slower to compile
alternatively send the map over to someone with a better system. I like to send mine to may clanmates sporting quad core CPUs and 4 gb of ram.
