[REL] dm_this_is_sparta

This is the full release for dm_this_is_sparta now!


If played in a good dm game this map should be pure madness, hence the motivation for the name change. There will be plenty of moving targets with numerous jump pads, elevators, and teleports throughout. A large number of health kits, armor, and every weapon is represented except slams. An accessible RPG and supercharger are waiting in an underwater semi-timed section. This makes camping the top sides not recommended, although dominating with the RPG shoud be still proove challenging.

Changes since beta:
*Changed slope of inclines at end elevators - Orbs can be bounced through the shafts
*Added many physics objects
*Added RPG rounds
*Changed skybox - less distracting
*Added some decals


Changes since alpha:
*Improved lighting and visibility
*Performance Optimizations
*Placed player clip on combine glass so its not slippery
*Fixed crates and barrels not respawning
*Scale and sound adjustments

Only bug I am aware of is a shotgun pickup toward the center that cannot be moved with the g-gun.

I didn't want to allow players to get too far up (like to the parts where the inclines are, although I think you can if you prop jump). It would take the focus too far away from the central action and encourage camping. I also didn't want the rpg to be too hard to get at. If you do go for the rpg, and drain the charger on the way out, you can make it out without taking any drowning damage. But if you aren't perfect you are going to start taking damage. That also allows another player to simply teleport in and pistol whip you to death as you are drowning. Even though you just drained the charger and acquired an rpg. It' actually pretty dangerous to go for that and should provide some good pistol battles.

Play-tested this last night and it's a lot of fun. Feels like a blend of killbox and aim arena with a few twists.

One question...why an ad for mani? Maybe you like it for other games, but for HL2DM it is poorly supported and can be buggy as hell. Just seemed odd to me.

The only other suggestion, the warp exits look the same as entrances, which is fine once you get used them, but a bit confusing for new players to the map. I suggest using motes for the exit points like Ko-Tao did in dm_killbox_ultra.

Overall a fine effort, I like it.

Yeah the mani decal... well, nothing else matched! Does Keeper have a decal? If so I recommend the same color scheme as the mani plug in, and I'd use it. ^^

Final version is out if anyone missed it.

More props, a few non-noticeable gameplay improving player clips added. More bounces shots possible, etc.
