DM_MUDAFUGA is the first challenge taken up by Shoobie who sent me an almost complete layout design. Very Quake-like in atmosphere and gameplay. very fast and lots of fun.
This is a big map however the installed Teleporters make it perfect for 1v1 up to 5v5 (playtested with 12 players and not a dull moment :shock: ).

I would like to thank you Val, without your job this would have been an ugly ass map which never would have been finished. He made this map looking like some eye orgasm tool, I'm so pleased. Val you're the man! Also the adding of more connections to the map, many great ideas with new corridors, jump pads and ofc the teleports! And a lot lot more just to mention some. Though the teleports might seem confusing at first but once you understand where they lead, there should be no problems at all. You can get to where you want in no time.

Okay I must say it again, Val you're the man!

Thanks to everyone testing this map, you sure need some creds!

I swear when i first looked at the title of this topic I thought it said MUDAFUKA sounds very welsh to me. :lol:

Seems like a good map looks good as allways being a val map but im not sure about the teles never been a fan of them really. Anyway see how it plays may be to quakeish for me.

Im guessing those inverted slopes on the walls aren't an issue, lots of times I get slow/stuck on geometry like that?

heh. yeah..i really liked AIR's spray so i asked him to use the name and spray on the map.

i'll post the map's specifics later on when i get home but for now; . ..

Map makes use of teleporters, floor jumpads and wall jumpads (horizontal).
Teleporters allow clients, props, orbs and grav nades in.
Sounds are also heavily used here allowing for better orientation as for which area you're in or functionality used..Supercharger sound, RPG pickup sound and so forth.

RPG - in the center of the map there is a Mudafuga logo on a wall lit in green. damaging it (shoot, crowbar, gg etc.) will set it off. wait 5 seconds and the RPG door will raise. The system then locks for 30 seconds.

A lot of extra care and time went into proofing this maps from game bugs like teleport issues, player and weapon spawns and the list goes on and on.

Map is fully clipped (re haymaker's comment about the walls) and that as well as all other features didn't show any loopholes through over a week of playtesting.

Map is currently at Release Candidate 5 so any input or newfound bugs are more than appreciated.

Thanks Shoobie and thank you all who participated in making this one happen. Working on this map was a lot of fun in many ways.

As i said above - Map's Specifics to follow.

I will post a DL link only when the map has reached final stage and that is because i'm seeing so many of my maps in beta stage running on servers. It's sad but nothing i can do about it.

Yes, this map is win!! I don't know why, but i play best on Val's maps. Some don't like the look of the textures and colors.
