The command failed. Windows reported the error:
"Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden."
the problem is just vbsp, the other programs only dont work because they cant find the bsp because of the error.

I compile with Hammer (Worldcraft) from the Source SDK.

Is this with every map or just this map? (compile a simple box to test if needed)

mayby its something to do with the different paths in youre config. i see counterstrike and hl2dm in youre log ???

hello,

no, my config is correct, i checked it.

i compiled a box, it worked. but the doublebox wont compile.

i dont know what it could be on the map :S could it have something to do with that i started it in the cstrike config and continued in the hl2dm config?

EDIT: I copied the whole map and inserted it into a new file.

compiled it without RAD or VIS, no problems

I compiled again, this time BSP and VIS, and it crashed hammer (no log).

any ideas?

Ok, the compiling works now, the problem was a spawn point. i removed it and its working now :)

thx, mfg, pokl

What was the problem with the spawn point?

I used Single Player spawn points and created 2 of them, which caused vbsp to fail^^

Single player spawns should't give any issues on compiling for hl2dm tho. At least I never had any. And I often put 1 in so that I get rid of the "no player start" in the problems dialog.

It's only bad when running the map ingame without any aditional mp spawns... I'm kinda confused. But well, if it works, that's nice to know. :D

I have tried using vbsp before, and every time i try to compile it takes ages. then crashes/closes its self.

Even maps which have no errors, and should only take less than a minute on normal compile (which are test maps) take ages or crash vbsp.
Wierd!

I see why people use it for 'ease' and to free up the pc for other stuff. but i have had nothing but trouble with it.

How are you compiling a map without using vbsp? That's the thingy that does .vmf -> .bsp

Which runs vbsp, vvis and vrad? ;D

Tangent: anybody using VBCT find that there is weird lighting issues which go away when using standard hammer compile? I'd really like to use VBCT more :S
