Hello ladies and gentlemen, I would like to present here a very good and new map which was created by a member of the russian community - Badman (Warriors of 3D Clan):

Looks nice, but it also looks like a combination of milieu, losthope, warlock and insomnia all mashed together... might just be me, but that's what I'm seeing! :sketchy:

this is not a ripoff but a very nice map. i can see the influences but it has it's own thing going, plus they called me in to help and advise so i got a close look. it's good work and the map looks very good. Congrats.

As for Chem's Castle, i'm afraid at this point the map can be described as no more than an eye candy. i may be wrong but that's me. i don't see an interesting / challenging gameplay going.
that being said, i would really love to get it back on track but i'll need some serious collab with someone who bhops and can think outside the box. PM me here or on Steam if anyone's interested.

ugh. i honestly think its kick ass just as it is. soooo many ppl want to play it, not for comp. lets release this bad boy bro!!!

Undercastle Revision 1 released!

[*] There are some changes in architecture of the map. Location and the way of getting rpg has changed. Now rpg is lying behind the door which can be opened by means of a shot on the black target on the column in the centre of the map.
The way of getting rpg is similar to dm_biohazard map.

[*] Added two healthkits near rpg area. Now player which obtains rpg has a chance of surviving and saving rpg.

[*] Many corridors are expanded that makes movement on the map even more dynamical.

[*] In many places shadows are corrected.

that looks like a great map bro. looks good for 1v1. couple things.

why hide a saw blade? maybe put orbs, health pack, or ammo of some sort there.

quick corrections on your english in case you want to redo your vid(which is really nice by the way, i wish more mappers would do this with their map release).

-you wouldnt say "how to own the rpg" it should read: "how to get the rpg"

-also you wouldnt say "make a shoot here". it should read: "shoot here"

Your first version is up on our [FF] server and it is drawing rave reviews! We playtested it with 8-14 players and it plays wells under all player numbers! I will update all our servers this weekend, great job on a very nice, high quality map!

Interesting layout, not too repetitive so players don't get lost and I like the scatter of items and their unconventional placement, reminds me of Valar, who loves to hide items. Nice to have so many grenades for a change and glad that you have only 1 ar2, but I think 4 smg nades are too much, though I couldn't find a 4th one yet.
I found the slope in the left of this screenie http://i42.tinypic.com/2s1kgoz.jpg bad for even a sprint jump, there's some other slopes that give the player a boost/lift up, but when on the run, that might slow me down. The supercharger is so easy to reach but a normal suit charger requires a jump hmm I'd rather see more stuff to throw around, like bricks, rocks, or a custom hatchet, or w/e medieval, than fight with orbs and smg nades.
I appreciate new ideas for getting the rpg, but yours is too similar to bio like you said, you even have an exploding barrel near it. And it doesn't quite feel like a castle, it's just a map with old rocky and some metal textures, maybe surround the map with castle walls? Or have castle traps like guillotines or closing gates to hurt the enemy behind me, or a trap door in the floor like in hanging places, or an iron maiden of some sort: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_maiden_%28torture%29. Maybe not functional, but those just being there creates an atmosphere, like in junkcity_begins or dm_wild_wild_west. Now it really depends on what you like and what you want with the map, but the layout could've just been done with all sorts of different textures. If you pick such a name and such textures, it's a pity not to take it a bit further, you know?
I haven't actually played it with more ppl, was just me runnin around in it, so I will upload it on my server 83.142.49.5:28015 later and maybe other Europeans might test it, too.

EDIT: dunno what SS means, chem, but I removed all parenthesis and smilies so I won't force anyone to off-topic.. apparently there's some unwritten rules around here

I think you should change the title, sorry hehe I'm really bugged by this one.
cok_castle_v1, dm_castle_sanctuary, dm_castlemid, dm_hawk_castle_skillbox, dm_hebbe_castle_f2, dm_poolcastle_v3
These are examples of maps that contain 'castle' in the name and they all have a castle or castle like structure.

EDIT: map name aside, the map plays well and has pretty good flow, routes can be formed. Others agreed its got nice layout and item placement and that it needs bit more props, or at least the non-spammers that played it think so. Or you did a great job hiding the orbs and smg nades! It took me forever to find the 3rd orb and we also found a decoy rpg lol Only one complained about the suit charger and one or 2 times I found hallways to be too tight for 2 people to cross. I can see the supercharger is pretty exposed but can be more exposed imo. There was a small bug, I think because I used mp_restartgame, but I couldn't reproduce it: the mag near supercharger wouldn't spawn anymore.. Also, is the map in HDR? There's full bright light right at map start but it fades away, n after that it's barely noticeable.
Anywayz I think it's almost done, good release candidate this one.
