stylejumpsv2

Anyone else played this? I saw it on the ____Khaos____ server. Hopped on and was stuck for 20 minutes on the first jumps.
I quti the game, and created a server so there was no loss/choke etc...
finnally got past the first room.... :roll:
The above picture has me stuck. I can hop off the first pad, but can't get to the second, i can't move that far latterally to the right. :evil:
Can someone please record a demo of this for me? thanks.

Wow this reminds me of jump maps in CS 1.6, also know as kz_ maps. Hl2dm doesn't have any maps that even resemble oldschool CS 1.6 jump maps until this map. I can't wait to try it.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

why do u post a picture of not getting past it, if u clearly take a screenshot of the beginning side with the stairs?

it wasnt that hadr it took me around 10-15 mins to beat the map this is my only proof

Part 3 shoulda been last. I always found myself jumping to far and hitting my head on the top beam.

this map wasn't thoroughly tested to see how players ACTUALLY move. someone needs to contact the person who made this map and have them fix it so it mimics realistic hl2dm movement and make a stylejumps_v3

actually there is a v4 out that i know of I don't have it cuz everytime i try and join a server that has it on has a pw and your can't find this map anywhere on the net

This was a fun map, I'de like to see the other versions.

After doin the version posted above someone told me about another version with more stuff at the end.
It has the same name (nub mappers lol). Just overwrite the version you have with this one:

But i think this is more kind of a fun map then anything else because it doesnt force you to touch the limits.
You need to downgrade your movement and at some jumps you just need luck.

Second that! Apparently precision isn't my strongest aspect. After that it wasn't too bad. Even the thing with bars in the middle is easier than it first appears.

But I'm guessing some of the parts after that (like the screenshot in the first post here) are really meant to be made with several jumps without halting. Making them one by one seems too easy, compared to the previous exercise.

Anyway, eagerly awaiting Briggs' release!

Yay played briggs map too now. The jumps are way better then stylejumps.
Only some stairs would be cool so you can get back if you failed
I couldnt do the last part with the speedpad, only could get over the 4th block (with like 100 trys)
But a clanm8 did it with like 150 trys

Btw was someone able to skate this in stylejumps?

Asked my clanm8 here who's better than me at bh, but he hadn't managed to do that passage in stylejumps in one take either.

Wrong, this is from the extended version of stylejumps (same file name)

no i couldnt get that part so i juped then stopped each time.....

stylejumps was fun. the easiest part for me was the double bars part. idk why but i flew through that entire section on my first try. ultimately i made it through the map in about 3 minutes

i STILL can't make that god forsaken bar section. the entire rest of the map was easy but I CANT DO THAT PART! ARGH!

Same here, rest of the map I can do fine, but can't do the bit with the pipes at all. I just seem to get stuck between them and fall down

Meh sounds like we talk about different stylejump_v2 versions again. Because after this part in the picture there is only one more room in that version.. so maybe they changed the distance of these platforms too.

Yeah, this newer version is a bit harder. I can't make the very last jump yet . I will eventually. These maps are good for anyone wanting to improve their strafing skills.

yay for bumping old thread but finally tried this extended version today.

beat it. i was able to bhop the last 2 from the pic that. that guy posted. and same thing for the first part of extended, took jump onto the "L" platform and bhopped the rest across.

there is yet another version of this map out its like stylejumps_tmk or something like that i don't liek it the mapper made some of the parts easier and he or she took the parts from the version nade maeggs posted and had all them and parts from the orignal and add a few parst of their own and made some platforms bigger which makes it less as fun. And alot of the stuff thats brand new is really lame not realistic and based on a single strafe jump

same, beat it, although the hardest part is just the small space you have for movement to get the necessary speed to jump across

There is newer stylejumpsv2 (same new) which now has an extra bit on the nd of the extra bit :roll:

There is also another map called jumpstyles which has the same concept, it's slightly longer and features jump pads, ramps and cone shaped stepping stones..............stuff like that!

if anyone wants it I'll post it up!
