Source SDK?

Reallllllllllly dumb question here. I finally downloaded the Source SDK tool. I try to launch it and a box appears saying "Preparing to launch Source SDK...".

The hard drive spins for a bit...then the box disappears and nothing happens.

Is there another step to this process???

1. Open steam, go to the tools tab

2. Right click source sdk

3. Click properties

4. Click set launch options

5. Copy and paste this into the box.

Yeah, that will probably fix it.

BTW, I have the beta on the next source SDK and the engine selection is in the dialog box, so this launch option won't be needed once they release it.

yeah, i also got stuck there for a while. Hadnt opened sdk for a while, and hammer would crash everytime i tried to do anything. I was quite freaked about it, i am an amateur but i really like to map
