I just bought a logitech g5 and i'm having problems with it ingame. When i try to do a quick 180 it gets stuck halfway through my turn. I've googled this and it seems like i'm no the only one that has had this problem. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this, it's very annoying.

I'm using 2000dpi with 0.75sensitivity and i've tried it with and without drivers.

You just reminded me of the CPL mouse fix that was mentioned in another thread. I keep meaning to try it. Maybe it will fix the issues you have with the G5.

I added it to the site and will try it next time I am in game.

What is you windows pointer speed set to? That sounds like a bad case of negative acceleration. But also could have to do with a SNAFU in the mouse. Hope you kept your origonal packaging and reciept.

Does it almost act like a video card studder problem?

Having only 1 side button was the reason i didn't buy a G5, instead i bought an MX518. Now Logitech make a two side button version of the G5 so when my 518 left and right click buttons started to deteriorate i was all for buying 1 until i heard of the G9 which is my current mouse.

I just started using a G5 a week ago and love it.
i like that it has the weighting. Always thought the 518 was too light and the copperhead was uncomfortable as hell and strangely designed, if crazy twitch responsive.
the G5 is mighty nice.

yea thats what i love about the g5 it sits so well in my hand and is pretty sturdy and it added weightiness gives be good feed back on my aim. I heard allot of guys razors break in the first 4months. Im sticking with mine until it breaks had it for allmost a year no problems apart from Logitech crappy driver issues that i had to fix when i got it.

I don't use a mouse pad my wooden desk has loads of grains in it so it tracks well.

Odd...I thought the mx518 is too small (lots of people say it's huge in reviews, and I have small hands..) and I think it's actually pretty heavy...

Well, there is no weighting in the 518. i break everything, so the 518 always felt light.
Wore out two in a year/half.
Wore out the Copperhead and it was killing my hand.
The G5 is very comfy, has the weighting system and is the same size as the 518.
I cant imagine a mouse bigger than the G5.

I don't know...the 518 is starting to get uncomfortable for me and the right click is a big slow to respond...hopefully I'll love the G5..but 50 dollars for a damn mouse is kind of ridiculous...eh.

50 bucks is cheap.
You think the G5 is expensive try the G9 that is £70 (from logitech site) which is about $140  of coure i ddint buy from logitech.

You cant put a price tag on these kinds of things. Id pay 200 bucks for my G5 or any gaming mouse for that matter that fits my needs if I had to again. I used a shitty Microsoft el cheapo 10 dollar mouse for 3 years in HL2 and everything else you can think of... Switching was like night and day. I also recently got the G15 keyboard, but I got it at Comp USA when they were going out so I got it like half off. :P

Save your money? Although this isn't a forum about how to spend your money, that would be my tip of advice. ;)
