Ban List

Can anyone tell me why my server ban list gets wiped out from time to time. Sometimes after it crashes it's gone and sometimes when it just resets it's gone. What can I do to make the server ban list stay for good?

The best thing for you to do is to make sure you save a current copy of it on your computer (a backup). If you ban people often, back it up on your computer ever week or so. When it disappears on the server just reload the one from your computer.

I've never heard of such a thing happening. I would ask your GSP if they are running some maintenance script which is wiping it out.

I do a backup of the list everytime I update it. It happens mainly on our coop servers when the server crashes. The coop maps tend to be more unstable than the regular maps. It also wipes out my clients list sometimes. Getting to be a pain.

And I did ask them about running scripts and they say they don't.

Ahh Coop...sorry I can't help you there I have never run one of those. I have run DM, CSS and TF2 servers and WT is right it has never happened to me. Yeah contact your tech support.

Does it happen on crash and when you reboot the server~?!

Global bans by any chance?
If so, i think you must only log bans in one server, and execute the ban list in all of them. Otherwise they overide eachother i think
I just took over making bans global myself.
