Setpoint software... WTF!?!?!

Talk about mice and settings got me thinking. I have never used the Setpoint. I have a G5 and thought maybe there was a delay and it was set at 500 polling, so i dl'd the Setpoint.

It doesn't do anything and there is no features. I have tried hovering and entering and replugging.
Nothing. It is a bloated bunch of crap on my PC and does nothing whatsoever.
Anyone know what is going on here?

no, but I do know it worked just fine for me when I had a G5. I was able to change the polling rate and assign keystrokes to every button on the G5. I had a game function programmed to every button on the mouse, I believe it was 11 in total.
I now use the razer death adder and can tell you its 1000x better than that G5 ever was, I gave up some buttons but for me the accuracy is so much better it was way worth the trade off. I know you will rant about how bad your previous experience with razer copperhead was and I will agree (I had the same thoughts), but this new death adder and new drivers are spot on for a lower sens user.

Damn, its like i have a museum of mice here. I can't find anything else to help with Setpoint. I googled and tried everything, no luck.
Setpoint will have to go where all my HP software went: away.

And, i did like the Copperhead if not for the bugs. The G5 feels fat and slow comparatively.
Maybe ill try the Adder.
Thanks.

Holy Shit, the Taz kills his hardware like i do! I collapsed 2 different 518s. I mean Mouse completely dead, before i did the same to my copperhead. Lol.

My hands can crush bottlecaps. I have worn out three keyboards in two years.

Next up, Death Adder, and i pray for it!

My Saitek board looked like that. I don't slam anything. I just have heavy strong hands from years of Carpentry and Fixture work.

With the Saitek board, something felt weird on the Shift key. I took a look at it and it was cracked in half. So i replaced it with the other one. Before long, i had moved and replaced all the large key and then the smaller ones till i had nothing left to replace.

2 518s literally stopped primary fire.
Same with the Copperhead, which couldn't retain its drivers for some reason.
My headset currently has electrical tape everywhere holding it together.

Yeah, standing up and having the headset jerked off your head when it gets caught on something.
Its a cheap Logitech piece of crap anyhow.

ive got a lycosa and the rubber has come off a few keys. i contacted razer to ask if i could order replacment keys and they again said take it back for an exchange. why dont they sell parts dammit. so yep still with the damaged keys as i lost the receipt long ago. works a treat though.

razer to have some explaining to do.

used to have a g7 but the wireless gave in so i run a g5 now. certain versions of setpoint are balls for the g series mice. older ones seem to work a lot better.

Setpoint is crap I recently installed it again and to use it i had to reset my mouse back to factory defaults.
Here is my thread at logitech forums explainign the problem.

From the replies it seems to me its not possible to stop it from hapening after a format of your PC

EDIT
It wipes you mose even if oyu only uninstalled setpoint.
