I found this lovely app wich i believe should run on every respected server or at least during CAL matches.

zBlock is a secure server plugin for Source engine based games (CSS, HL2, DOD:S etc...) which levels the playing field by enforcing potentially exploitable CVAR values of all connecting clients. In return it also locks some server variables and displays their current state to joining clients and in server queries (i.e. HLSW), so that clients know that all zBlock servers have some form of consistency between them. It also protects the server against clients joining with altered sound/script files which aren't protected by Valve's sv_pure mode.

Main Features:

A very secure server-plugin
Protects against non-default configurations and exploits
Prevents Sound based cheats (with sv_consistency 1)
Highlights server variable changes
Client Rate Viewer
Readyup Module with lots of features
LAN support
Low Memory/CPU Requirements
-Note: zBlock does not enforce the "rates" of clients, but it enforces them to use cl_interpolate 1 and the difference between cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate may be not greater than 30.

With same objective, I use steambans DETOX on all my servers.
Detox is a server-side anti-cheat plugin for the Half-Life 2 Source Engine with automatic updating functionality.

The main purpose of this plugin is to provide server admins and players with a better overall protection against cheats and exploits.
It works very nice in my opinion even if i don't really know what's checked : i see players kicked

Have you tested it ?

wow, nice info conflict. It would be nice to see servers using this, and cal match servers should definitely have it :)

Would have to test it and find out more about it.

I dont trust any plugin for HL2DM. Most degrade performance significantly.

Valve has also shut down many of the exploitable variables. zblock was one of the influences I believe.
