FPS = death

Hello everybody!
I always played with no bugs and lugs. Untill this month, fps falls down every time, if some1 shoots by shotgun or smth, if barrels explode - my fps goes to 20ms while it was 120... I dont even talk about fraggrenades, sometime i dont see them at all, it's like slowmotion, slideshow.
I tried onty's file FPS_enhancer - it helped, but them apocalypse came, I had to reboot all steam to remove it.
Now i cant play for fun with this fps fallings. I thought about pc-reinstallation, but I have too many files I need in future.
Is there any other ways to fix my hl2dm?
Other games work pretty good exclusive of tf2...
Now i dont like lockdown.

its might be you CPU. What I would do is give the inside a good clean and make sure its been cooled properly.

I have also had FPS issues with a bad power supply. Changed the power supply and it was better, however it happened in all of my games not just a few.

Graphics card dying perhaps? How old is your PC?

It could be one of several things: graphics card, processor, motherboard, power supply. The only way to tell is to start replacing them one at a time until it is solved. Start with the parts that are cheapest and most easily replaced (gpu, psu) then do the harder ones if thaat does not work.

That is what I did when I had this problem. I ended up with an extra MB, cpu and gpu because I didn't think it was the psu. It sucks but there is really no other way to figure out what it is.
