HELP!!! Fanless Heatsinks

I have a problem while building the new setup last night on boot the system tells me that not CPU fan is detected and as a result wont boot. I got round this by setting the bios to ignore all errors as the CPU only runs at 35C. However I don't think it is a good idea to keep it ignoring all errors.

Does anyone know a way i can tell the system its using a fanless heatsink and there for no CPU fan should be plugged in.

I have a option in my bios to monitor/not monitor fans so I just unchecked CPU fan.

thats pretty much a fail safe for your motherboard, atleast you know your BIOS is doing its job!!! fanless heatsink? wow, thats odd. but ok. all you need to do is jump the cpu fan connector on the mobo or you could plug a fan into that slot and mount it in the case. im surprised there werent instructions on how to set that up in the box. i would certainly get that error detection turned back on asap tho.

I got the i7, 6g ram, asus gene 2 mobo, and 2 295gtx's.
I wouldnt upgrade without going all out on video myself, crysis at full high def + 16 AA and AF is drools.
Oh and a antec performance one 193 case + 1000w psu.

At the mo i got the cpu overlocked to 3.2g using the mobo cpu level up feature. Might overclock more lata on.
Oh and a zalman 9900 led fan/heatsink, looks phat and will do the job no worries.

From what I have read most i7 920's can do 3.8-4.0 fairly easy on air, I'm currently building one too! :D
