Some fuckhead is lagging my ip adress, causing entire servers to spike.

Any idea how i can figure out who this is? Or how to stop it?

I would contact your ISP and see if they can test the connection. Do you have cable or DSL?

If you have cable, most of the time a bunch of houses are connected to the main line through the same junction box/connection. If alot of your neighbors are on the internet at the same time it can slow down your connection. If thats the case, not much you can do.

If its DSL, I would call the DSL company and have them test the line. Try resetting your modem.

If you have wireless, your just fucked and unless you can get a wire to the modem there isnt anything you can do with that either.

Also check your computer for spyware, that can slow down your computer's communication with the internet real bad and it acts like lag.

Secure your wireless network by going into the routers control panel and setting a wep password. This is pretty much the only way "someone" could be "lagging" your network.

Agreed, however older routers don't always support WPA or WPA2 was just pointing him in the right direction.

Well it's not just like I'll lag, the entire server and all the people within get it too.

It was really strange. Everyones ping went all crazy. (250+) no choke no loss. About 1 minute after you left everything was back to normal.
