win 7 dl

because i am taking some college programming classes i get all MS software for free(MS wants students using their stuff so they are familar with it when the graduate). last night i DL win7 pro. the size of the DL was like 2.9 gigs or something. this seemed small to me, im sure its ultra compacted, but is this the correct size? maybe some ppl that have it could take a look at their install disk or something. i would like to make sure b4 i wipe my HD clean and install. i dont wanna test install on a different HD cause im not sure if that will effect the install validation on the machine i want it on.

its about 3 gig for ultimate chem

I think it depends if its 32 or 64 bit 64 bit is about 3.5GB

64bit Professional for me was 3.0 GB.

I had the misfortune of having to pay for a MS product once...

A Windows partition for games.

A (your favourite OS of another company) for anything else.

I upgraded my laptop to Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit from Vista around Thanksgiving and I have to say that it was the best thing I did for that computer. It boots faster and doing everything in the OS is faster and not so retarded.

I upgraded my desktop to 64 bit Win 7 Ultimate. Had some issues with Vent and firewall program but otherwise I have had nor other compatibility issues so far....

Also its nice to be able to run my DX10 games in DX10.

Overall so far I like it better than XP and as far as Vista is concerned, well you can flush it for all I care.
