G'devening all,

Today I had a bunch of mic-spamming, and general disrespectful peeps on one of our servers. After warning them several times, and kicking twice as a warning, they persisted in being general douches. One of them then said: "dude i can crash the server with 1 button" - couple of seconds later I lost connection, and checked HLSW and saw the server had crashed, restarted, and was back to Lockdown.

Possible n00b question alert: How is this possible?

Logged info before the crash reads:

Any insight into this one is appreciated. Also if it's a DoS (which i've got a feeling it is - and the log couldn't keep up with the frequency of the commands) - how can I protect us from future incidents?

It might have something to do with 1 of the 90 plugins your running. I'd start there.

@sisterFister - The majority of those SM plugins are stock, and come with SM - but thanks for your useful direction...

@Ghost Dog - So nothing major to worry about then bud? Anything I can drop in my setup to (try and) sto ppeople doing it again?

seen this before on one of the older servers which didnt have many plugins (bitches and bastards it was called, back in the day) guy threatened to do then did it several times

Yeah banned him and his 2 buddies... Couldn't get their IP's though, but ID SteamID ban should be enough.

I've seen many people do this a lot in pretty much every server and had people ask me if I knew a solution , I don't have one but I did find out that most of the players in RP servers have a way to block those spams , you may want to start by asking someone in an RP server , those can't get spammed maybe a plugin they know about that we don't.
